A law firm seeks an Entry-Level Associate Attorney to join its Dallas, TX office. This full-time position offers an exceptional training and mentoring opportunity within a well-established litigation and intellectual property firm. The role involves assisting senior attorneys with a diverse caseload, including commercial litigation, construction law, contract disputes, and intellectual property matters. This position requires a commitment to in-office work and occasional travel for hearings.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Assist in drafting various legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and client correspondence.
  • Participate in client meetings to discuss new cases and ongoing case strategies.
  • Support senior attorneys as junior counsel during trials and arbitration.
  • Conduct and defend depositions under the guidance of senior attorneys.
  • Represent clients in assigned hearings as directed by supervising attorneys.

Requirements:

  • Strong research and writing skills to effectively support case development and litigation strategy.
  • Willingness to travel for hearings as required.
  • No prior experience is required; training will be provided.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission preferred, or willingness to obtain bar certification.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and courtroom interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage case files and meet deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop litigation skills in a structured, mentorship-driven environment.
