Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy Associate with 2-3 years of experience to join its team in Orlando office. The ideal candidate will have a background in Chapter 11 business bankruptcies, creditors' rights litigation, and complex commercial bankruptcy matters. The role involves handling court appearances, motions, depositions, mediations, and negotiations. Strong analytical, writing, and research skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects across different offices.

Location:

  • Orlando, FL

Duties:

  • Handle a range of bankruptcy-related matters, including Chapter 11 business bankruptcies and creditors’ rights litigation
  • Represent fiduciaries and manage complex commercial and bankruptcy litigation, including avoidance actions
  • Conduct court appearances, depositions, mediations, and negotiations
  • Draft motions, legal briefs, and other court documents
  • Collaborate with attorneys in multiple offices while managing multiple projects autonomously
  • Provide legal research and analysis to support case strategies

Requirements:

  • Admission to The Florida Bar
  • 2-3 years of bankruptcy law experience (judicial clerkship is a plus)
  • Proven experience in Chapter 11 cases and creditors’ rights
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Florida Bar Admission
