A law firm seeks a dedicated Attorney to join their team in Somerville, NJ. The successful candidate will manage complex family law cases, including alimony, child support, equitable distribution, and parenting time. This role encompasses all stages of litigation, from initial client consultations to post-judgment matters and appeals.

Duties:

• Handle complex family law cases, guiding clients through the legal process from start to finish.
• Manage litigation matters related to alimony, child support, equitable distribution, and parenting time.
• Conduct initial client interviews to assess their legal needs and provide tailored advice.
• Prepare and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, and pleadings.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and mediation.
• Maintain open communication with clients and colleagues, ensuring all parties are informed throughout the process.
• Engage in research and analysis to support case strategies and legal arguments.
• Guide on post-judgment issues and appeals as necessary.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the New Jersey Bar.
• Strong understanding of civil practice and family law principles.
• Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Current New Jersey Bar membership required.
