Job Overview: A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate Attorney or Counsel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in executive compensation matters and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and support on executive compensation matters.
  • Draft and review documents related to qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation, equity compensation, health and welfare plans, mergers and acquisitions, ERISA, and ESOPs.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and firm personnel on client matters.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and legal proceedings, as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience practicing law, focusing on employee benefits and executive compensation.
  • Extensive experience working with executive compensation matters.
  • Excellent academic record from a reputable law school.
  • Bar admission is required for the jurisdiction of practice (Massachusetts preferred).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation, equity compensation, health and welfare plans, mergers and acquisitions, ERISA, and ESOPs.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
