Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of experience

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Newport Beach office, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced litigation environment. The role is ideal for candidates with 1-5 years of experience who are eager to get hands-on experience in all phases of litigation, including depositions and court appearances, while being mentored by seasoned trial attorneys. Duties:

• Manage various stages of litigation, from discovery to trial preparation.
• Take and defend depositions, and make court appearances.
• Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
• Assist senior attorneys in developing strategies for complex litigation matters.
• Participate in client meetings and support transactional work, including contract negotiations and risk management.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of work quality.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to achieve favorable legal outcomes.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in litigation.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High motivation to grow as a litigator and advance in a legal career.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Demonstrated track record of producing high-quality work products.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
