A law firm seeks an experienced Probate Attorney to join a reputable legal team in Charleston, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with probate administration, identifying probate issues in real estate transactions, and providing estate planning services. This position requires an attorney who is a member in good standing with the South Carolina State Bar and preferably has experience in probate law and estate planning.

Duties:

  • Guide clients through the probate administration process, ensuring a smooth transition of assets.
  • Identify and resolve probate issues that may arise in real estate transactions.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze data, and provide actionable legal solutions for clients.
  • Assist clients with drafting and reviewing estate planning documents such as Wills and Powers of Attorney.
  • Deliver a high level of professionalism in client interactions, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships for the firm, contributing to its growth and reputation.
  • Lead client education efforts, offering training sessions on topics related to probate and estate planning.

Requirements:

  • Preferably experience in probate law, with a focus on probate administration.
  • Experience in estate planning and real estate law is considered a plus.
  • Member in good standing with the South Carolina State Bar.
  • Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to contribute to community involvement and business development.
  • Strong work ethic, as shown through academic achievements and professional experience.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
