A law firm seeks an experienced Healthcare Associate Attorney to join its Healthcare & Insurance Division in Denver. Duties:

  • Advise healthcare providers, insurers, and life sciences companies on regulatory and transactional matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, regulatory filings, and compliance strategies.
  • Represent clients in matters involving healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid compliance, and managed care plans.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on healthcare laws and industry-specific regulations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and departments on healthcare and insurance-related legal issues.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies tailored to the evolving healthcare landscape.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and guide on healthcare compliance matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare law, either in a law firm, representing a healthcare-related regulatory agency or within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong regulatory and transactional experience advising healthcare providers, insurers, or pharmaceutical/device manufacturers.
  • Experience advising on managed care plans is a plus.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle a diverse caseload and work collaboratively with a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction (Colorado) or the ability to waive in.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and other compliance issues.
  • Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
