Job Overview: A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Tax Associate to join its Transactional Tax group in the Seattle office. This role involves advising on a wide range of tax-related matters, including the structuring and formation of business and investment entities, cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal skills in transactional tax matters and the ability to deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and a competitive salary based on experience.

Duties:

  • Provide tax advice on structuring business and investment entities
  • Advise on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings
  • Offer counsel on tax equity financing for renewable energy projects
  • Handle tax-related aspects of debt and equity securities offerings
  • Collaborate with clients to deliver strategic tax solutions
  • Draft legal documents related to tax matters and transactions
  • Conduct legal research on complex tax issues

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Washington Bar admission or eligibility to become admitted
  • Strong academic credentials with excellent research and writing skills
  • Prior experience as a transactional tax attorney preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Washington Bar admission (or ability to become admitted in Washington)
