Associate Attorney Personal Injury

A law firm seeks a motivated associate attorney to join its personal injury practice, primarily working on a plaintiff docket. This position offers an opportunity to develop strong litigation skills while working closely with senior attorneys and partners. The ideal candidate will be either a recent graduate awaiting bar results or an attorney with five years or less of experience. This role is designed to provide exposure to both pre-litigation and litigation matters in a high-volume practice.

Duties:

• Manage pre-litigation and litigation tasks, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence.
• Participate in depositions, mediations, and court hearings.
• Assist in trial preparation, including evidence gathering and witness preparation.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in personal injury cases.
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and named partners on case strategy and client management.
• Conduct legal research and provide written analysis to support litigation efforts.

Requirements:

• 0-5 years of legal experience, preferably in personal injury or civil litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
• Recent graduates pending bar results are encouraged to apply.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas, or awaiting bar exam results.
