A well-regarded law firm in Redwood City, CA, is seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney with experience handling complex criminal cases at various judicial levels. The selected attorney will independently manage cases, advise clients, and work collaboratively with a team of skilled attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties:

• Counsel clients on their legal rights and prepare relevant legal documents
• Attend pretrial hearings, advising clients on best strategies post-hearing
• Handle court appearances, trials, motion drafting, witness interviews, and conduct in-depth legal research
• Assess case outcomes based on legal precedents and strategic analysis
• Oversee a personal caseload and prioritize client case management
• Provide comprehensive legal analysis to evaluate potential case benefits
• Collect and prepare evidence to support clients’ defense or counter-prosecution claims
• Prepare clients for depositions, establish case objectives, and gather supporting testimony from witnesses and experts

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4-5 years of criminal defense experience
• Background in managing complex criminal cases across federal, state, and local levels
• Strong collaborative skills; demonstrated ability to strategize and work effectively with colleagues
• Preferred but not required: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the California State Bar and in good standing

Certifications:

• Active California State Bar license (required)
