A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Health Care Associate Attorney with substantial experience in health care regulatory and transactional matters. The ideal candidate will possess strong document drafting skills, project management capabilities, and a dedication to mentoring junior associates. AmLaw 100 experience is preferred, and the role requires excellent academic credentials, communication skills, and the ability to interact directly with senior partners and clients.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to health-care focused clients on federal and state health care regulatory issues and their impact on transactions and daily business operations.
  • Draft and negotiate complex agreements and documents related to health care transactions.
  • Manage and oversee complex projects and matters related to health care regulatory compliance and transactions.
  • Mentor and train junior associates on legal matters and firm processes.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support client advice and case strategies.
  • Maintain direct communication with senior partners and clients, providing updates and strategic recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the State Bar of Illinois.
  • 4-6 years of experience in health care regulatory and/or transactional law.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state health care laws, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Proven experience in sophisticated document drafting and negotiation.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated writing and communication skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Admission to and active membership in the State Bar of Illinois.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases relevant to health care law.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, concise recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
