Associate Attorney Litigation

A law firm seeks a Georgia-licensed Associate Attorney to join its well-established litigation practice in Chattanooga, Tennessee. With over five decades of experience, this firm provides comprehensive legal services, specializing in insurance defense and a wide array of litigation areas, including personal injury, construction disputes, and professional liability. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic team serving clients across state and federal courts.

Duties

• Represent clients in state and federal courts, including pre-trial and trial work.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, briefs, and pleadings.
• Participate in negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
• Provide clear and consistent communication to clients regarding case progress.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop and execute effective legal strategies.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in Georgia.
• Experience in civil litigation, preferably in insurance defense or related fields.
• Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with court procedures in both state and federal systems.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership with the State Bar of Georgia.
• Eligibility to practice in Tennessee is a plus but not required.
