Associate Attorney Finance & Transactions

Job Overview: We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious law firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Finance & Transactions team in Chicago, Dallas, or Washington, DC. The successful candidate will have 4-7 years of commercial finance experience and will work on drafting and managing loan documents, participating in complex financial transactions, and collaborating with senior attorneys on client matters. Duties:

• Draft loan documents and manage loan transactions for clients.
• Handle multiple commercial finance matters simultaneously.
• Work closely with shareholders and senior attorneys on complex finance transactions.
• Provide legal counsel to clients on various financial transactions and agreements.
• Participate in business development activities and client-facing engagements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to finance and transactions.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in commercial finance at a law firm.
• Strong experience in drafting loan documents and managing financial transactions.
• Ability to manage multiple legal matters concurrently.
• Admission to the Bar in good standing in Illinois, Texas, or Washington, DC (or in the process of obtaining admission).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.

Certifications:

• Active Bar license in the applicable jurisdiction (Illinois, Texas, or District of Columbia).

Skills:

• Expertise in commercial finance law and transactions.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $280,000 - $330,000 annual base salary.
