Job Overview:
An established workers' compensation law firm is seeking a dedicated Workers’ Compensation Attorney with experience in applicant representation to join its Santa Ana, CA office. This position involves managing a diverse caseload while working closely with a support team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in WCAB proceedings, with a commitment to advocating for clients in workers' compensation matters. Hybrid remote work flexibility is available.

Location:

  • Santa Ana, CA

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 200-250 workers' compensation cases.
  • Represent clients in all phases of the workers' compensation process, including Status Conferences, MSCs, Expedited Hearings, Lien Conferences, and Trials.
  • Oversee and collaborate with a dedicated team, including a Case Administrator and Legal Assistant.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and provide strategic guidance to clients.
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively for clients throughout the WCAB process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers' compensation law, particularly in applicant representation.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and case management within the workers' compensation field.
  • Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective leadership abilities to manage and collaborate with support staff.
  • Familiarity with WCAB procedures and experience in board appearances.
