Senior Employment Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A dynamic law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Employment Litigation Attorney to join their team based out of Morgantown, WV. Location:

• Morgantown, WV

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of 40+ employment litigation cases with attention to detail.
• Oversee and coordinate with support staff to ensure efficient case progression.
• Develop and execute strategic litigation plans tailored to clients’ needs.
• Represent clients in West Virginia circuit courts and federal court, including as lead counsel in trials and arbitrations.
• Conduct depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Prepare and review legal documents, and conduct thorough legal research.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in West Virginia; Ohio license is preferred but not required.
• Extensive experience as the lead (first chair) in jury trials.
• Strong understanding of employment law and litigation procedures.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage complex legal matters.
• Willingness to travel across the state for mediations, depositions, and client meetings.
• Proficiency in using legal technology for case management.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership with the West Virginia State Bar.
