Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A well-established and growing law firm located in Chicago, IL, is actively seeking two Associate Attorneys for their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven attorney with 0-6 years of experience to join a dynamic firm offering hands-on experience with insurance defense cases. The firm offers opportunities for career growth, including participation in case arbitrations and trials, with the chance to work both as a first-chair and second-chair attorney.

Duties:

• Manage cases from inception to resolution, ensuring thorough attention to each file throughout the process.
• Communicate directly with clients, providing regular updates and detailed written reports.
• Take and attend depositions, handling witness testimony, and document review.
• Represent clients in court, attending hearings, and handling various legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to strategize case approaches and share insights.
• Participate in case arbitration and trial preparation, assuming lead roles in selected cases.
• Exhibit a high level of professionalism and dedication to achieving favorable client outcomes.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior experience in taking depositions and handling court appearances is preferred.
• Ability to manage cases independently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Illinois State Bar membership.

Skills:

• Excellent writing and communication skills.
