Attorney needed for Los Angeles office

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a talented and experienced Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in corporate governance, tax, business planning, and real estate. This role requires membership in the California Bar, a competitive law school class ranking, and a minimum of 5 years of corporate and/or real estate transactional experience. Strong research and writing skills are essential for success in this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel on matters related to corporate governance, including compliance, risk management, and organizational structure.
• Advise clients on tax issues and business planning strategies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and strategic goals.
• Handle real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing, with a focus on complex deals and due diligence.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and corporate policies.
• Conduct thorough research on legal issues and provide well-reasoned opinions and recommendations.
• Represent clients in negotiations and transactional matters, working to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to address legal challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations affecting corporate, tax, business planning, and real estate practices.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate and/or real estate transactional law.
• Demonstrated expertise in corporate governance, tax, business planning, and real estate matters.
• Membership in the California Bar is required.
• Competitive law school class ranking preferred.
• Strong research and writing skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and build client relationships.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal projects and work independently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California Bar.
