Job Overview:
A law firm seeks an enthusiastic and motivated Associate Attorney to join its Lubbock, TX office. Duties:

  • Manage a high-volume caseload, ensuring deadlines are met efficiently.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, taxpayers, staff, and external parties both verbally and in writing.
  • Draft, review, and respond to legal documents promptly and accurately.
  • Attend weekly court hearings and trials within Lubbock County and neighboring regions.
  • Develop and foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and trust.
  • Represent the firm at local events, statewide conferences, and occasional evening or weekend engagements.
  • Participate in the firm's mentorship and professional development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
  • At least 3 years of legal experience preferred; newly licensed attorneys are welcome to apply.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach to teamwork, as well as independent initiative when required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in Texas.
