Duties

  • Advise clients on tax matters related to real estate, including REITs and other real estate investments.
  • Conduct legal research and provide technical tax analysis.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including tax-related memoranda and client communications.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex tax issues and real estate transactions.
  • Manage client relationships and provide strategic guidance on tax and real estate matters.
  • Solve complex, novel legal problems with creative solutions.
  • Keep up-to-date with tax laws and regulations, particularly in relation to real estate.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in tax law (for associates from law school class years 2019 to 2022).
  • Experience with real estate law, including REITs, preferred.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent writing, oral communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues and think creatively.
  • Strong academic credentials and a desire to grow professionally.

Education

  • J.D. (Juris Doctor) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the State Bar (New York) required.
