A law firm seeks an experienced and highly motivated Immigration Attorney with a focus on consular processing and waivers. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload, work closely with clients, and collaborate with legal assistants and fellow attorneys to provide top-tier legal services. Duties

  • Manage a caseload of consular processing and waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, consular processing, and K-Visas.
  • Prepare clients for consular interviews and provide guidance on the process.
  • Represent clients in interactions before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of prepared immigration applications and documentation.
  • Supervise and collaborate with a team of paralegals to meet client needs and productivity targets.
  • Provide detailed legal analysis to determine case benefits and options for clients.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration-related cases.

Requirements

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in immigration law, particularly with consular processing and waiver cases.
  • Ability to work independently while managing a diverse caseload.
  • Experience with consular processing applications and waivers is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with case management software is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing in the jurisdiction where the attorney practices.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of immigration laws, particularly consular processing, waivers, and related procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare legal documents and present arguments clearly.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
