Job Overview:

A law firm in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Associate Attorney to manage all phases of personal injury cases from intake to settlement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pre-litigation personal injury cases, possess excellent negotiation skills, and provide exceptional client service. The attorney will be responsible for conducting case investigations, filing legal documents, negotiating settlements, and maintaining open communication with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of personal injury cases from client intake to case resolution.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to assess liability, damages, and case viability.
  • Draft and file pre-litigation legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients, ensuring they are informed throughout the case.
  • Maintain detailed case files and ensure timely progression of each case.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys to optimize case management and efficiency.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal briefs, and prepare sound legal strategies.
  • Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and arbitration hearings as necessary.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in state laws, regulations, and legal precedents related to personal injury law.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • License: Must be a Lawyer in Good Standing and licensed to practice law in the state of California.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of personal injury experience with a focus on pre-litigation cases.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of California personal injury laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience managing personal injury cases from start to finish.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, particularly in drafting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Ability to negotiate settlements and advocate effectively for clients.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in legal work.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the California Bar Association.
