Commercial Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm specializing in commercial litigation is seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join their team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex commercial disputes and litigation matters.

Job Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of commercial litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis of legal issues related to commercial disputes.
• Manage discovery, including e-discovery, and participate in depositions and hearings.
• Develop case strategies and advise clients on litigation risk assessment and management.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case management and strategy.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar is required; admission to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bar(s) is a plus.
• 4-8 years of experience practicing commercial litigation in a law firm setting.
• Strong academic credentials with a demonstrated record of achievement.

Certifications and Skills:

• Proven ability to handle a diverse caseload of complex commercial litigation matters.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience with document management and e-discovery platforms preferred.
