Job Overview:
A law firm is looking for a talented and motivated Associate Attorney with a focus on Commercial Litigation. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation, including courtroom and deposition experience. Strong communication, drafting, and research skills are essential. Duties:

  • Represent clients in commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and other complex commercial issues.
  • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
  • Manage and oversee case files, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of cases.
  • Perform legal research and provide strategic legal advice on commercial litigation matters.
  • Handle settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure quality legal representation.
  • Attend court hearings and trials, providing legal representation in front of judges and juries.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Proven experience in courtroom litigation and depositions.
  • Ability to handle complex commercial disputes and develop effective case strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in the applicable state.

Skills:

  • Expertise in commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, and other business-related legal matters.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Ability to draft legal documents with precision and clarity.
  • Experience handling depositions and courtroom appearances.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
