Associate Attorney needed for Torrance office

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Probate, Trust & Estate Litigation team. Location:

• Torrance, CA

Duties:

• Collaborate with senior associates and staff to efficiently move cases toward resolution

• Draft legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, declarations, and settlement agreements

• Perform legal research, prepare legal memoranda, and organize evidence to support client cases

• Maintain up-to-date client files for efficient case management

• Meet a billable hour requirement of 140 hours per month

• Prepare for and attend hearings or legal proceedings under senior associate supervision

• Advise clients on legal matters, negotiate solutions, and analyze conflicts in legal issues

• Communicate with clients, paralegals, and attorneys to ensure cases progress efficiently

• Assist in creating legal documents such as contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Probate, Family, Business Litigation, or Trust Law

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for effective collaboration

• Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California

• Member in good standing with the California Bar

• Completed the bar exam successfully

• Desire to learn from senior attorneys and contribute to client growth and service

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in California

• Member in good standing with the American Bar Association (ABA)
