A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a dedicated International Trade Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively. The firm values academically distinguished applicants and prefers candidates with at least 1+ years of experience in antidumping and countervailing duty matters.

Duties:

  • Assist in the representation of clients in matters related to international trade regulations, including antidumping and countervailing duty cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on international trade laws and regulations.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and motions related to trade matters.
  • Prepare and file petitions and other submissions with relevant trade authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on compliance with international trade regulations and dispute resolution.
  • Support senior attorneys in managing complex trade cases and investigations.
  • Participate in meetings and correspondences with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about developments in international trade laws and regulations, and provide updates and recommendations to clients and the firm.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
  • At least 1+ years of experience in antidumping and countervailing duty matters preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal issues and provide effective solutions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in Washington, DC, or eligibility to sit for the bar exam in DC.

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to handle multiple deadlines and complex legal issues.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations, with a focus on antidumping and countervailing duties.
