Senior Commercial Litigation Trial Associate

Job Overview
A prominent law firm is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Trial Associate to join its Trial and Litigation Practice in Miami. This position is ideal for candidates with significant experience in commercial litigation and arbitration, including trial and final hearing experience. The role involves a mix of legal research, drafting, discovery management, and advocacy in state and federal courts. Duties

• Manage complex commercial litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Conduct and manage discovery, both traditional and electronic
• Appear in state and federal courts, including at trials and final hearings
• Provide strategic litigation advice and case management
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop and execute case strategies
• Lead legal research efforts and provide written analysis and memoranda
• Support arbitration proceedings, as applicable
• Mentor junior associates and support team development
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and trends, particularly in commercial litigation and arbitration

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial litigation and/or arbitration
• Extensive trial experience, including final hearings, and/or arbitration experience
• Strong legal drafting, research, and discovery management skills
• Proven track record of effective oral and written advocacy
• Ability to handle sophisticated casework and complex litigation strategies
• Self-starter with a proactive, results-oriented mindset
• Admission to the Florida Bar, or eligibility for admission

Education

• Law degree from an accredited law school
• Graduation from a top-tier law school or ranking in the top of the class preferred
• Federal clerkship experience and an interest in international disputes are a plus

Certifications

• Florida Bar Admission (or eligibility for admission)
