The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in litigation, with the ability to manage cases independently from start to finish. The firm is looking for a resourceful attorney with strong writing skills and the ability to handle all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage litigation cases from start to finish, including case intake, discovery, motion practice, negotiations, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft high-quality legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, and arbitrations, advocating effectively for clients’ interests.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure thorough case preparation and timely filings.
  • Develop and execute case strategies, working directly with clients to ensure their goals and legal needs are met.
  • Provide client communication throughout the litigation process, offering clear legal advice and updates on case progress.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel, ensuring that client interests are protected while exploring all options for resolution.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trials by reviewing case details and expectations.
  • Handle discovery processes, including document requests, depositions, interrogatories, and responses to discovery requests.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of litigation experience is preferred, with demonstrated experience managing cases from start to finish.
  • Strong legal writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, persuasive, and strategic legal documents.
  • Resourcefulness and the ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment.
  • Experience in courtroom representation, including handling hearings, depositions, and motions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
