A law firm seeks a passionate Employment Attorney who is committed to social justice and has a genuine interest in employment law. Duties

  • Handle cases involving federal sector EEO, MSPB, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, employee discipline, whistleblower issues, and employment contracts.
  • Manage all aspects of legal processes, including negotiations, discovery, motions, hearings, and trials.
  • Collaborate directly with clients and fellow attorneys to ensure successful case outcomes.
  • Engage in client development work, including fostering new and existing client relationships.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of litigation experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong research and legal writing skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Bonus Experience

  • Prior experience in employment litigation.
  • Familiarity with NetDocuments.
  • Published legal work or articles.
  • Completion of a judicial clerkship.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active law license in good standing.

Skills

  • Expertise in federal employment law and litigation.
  • Strong negotiation, litigation, and trial skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough legal research and draft high-quality legal documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple cases and meet deadlines.
