A law firm in Nashville is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Health Care Litigation Associate Attorney. The associate attorney will play a key role in the firm's Health Care Litigation practice. The ideal candidate must possess a high level of academic achievement, solid law firm experience, and superb research, writing, and communication skills. Experience in litigation, drafting motions and briefs, and preparing depositions is required. Additionally, experience in managed care and reimbursement work, medical malpractice, medical staffing issues, or working with hospitals is considered a strong positive. A Juris Doctor (JD) is required, and a federal clerkship is preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and briefs related to health care litigation matters.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Analyze medical records, healthcare policies, and regulations.
  • Work on complex litigation matters in the health care industry.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel on health care compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client representation.
  • Assist in managing case files and documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in health care laws and regulations.
  • Handle other duties related to health care litigation practice as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the Tennessee State Bar or eligible for admission.
  • 2+ years of experience in complex litigation.
  • Solid experience in drafting motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Experience with depositions and court appearances.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience in health care litigation or related areas is a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Tennessee State Bar or eligibility for admission.
