Job Overview
A prestigious national law firm is seeking a highly experienced Trust & Estates Associate Attorney to join a well-regarded Trust, Estate & Wealth Preservation group in Naples, Florida. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned attorney with at least 5 years of experience in succession planning and wealth preservation. The ideal candidate will manage direct client relationships, work on complex estate planning, and handle multi-generational wealth transfers. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues are essential.

Duties

  • Manage and oversee client relationships, providing high-quality service in trust and estate planning.

  • Draft and implement estate planning instruments such as GST-exempt trusts, GRATs, SLATs, and IDGTs.

  • Assist clients with taxable estates and multi-generational wealth transfer planning.

  • Provide post-mortem administration support.

  • Prepare and/or review tax returns, including Forms 706, 709, and 1041.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across different practice areas to provide comprehensive client solutions.

  • Guide clients through the complexities of estate planning, tax strategy, and wealth preservation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trust and estate law, including direct client management.

  • Expertise in drafting and planning for taxable estates and complex estate planning instruments.

  • Experience with post-mortem administration and tax return preparation/review (Forms 706, 709, and 1041).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.

  • Commitment to providing high-quality client service.

  • Florida Bar License (Required).

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Florida Bar License.

  • Proficiency in estate planning and tax strategies.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
