Duties:

• Provide expert legal advice to clients regarding their rights and case details.
• Draft, review, and prepare legal documents and motions related to criminal cases.
• Represent clients in pretrial hearings, offering counsel on the best possible legal strategies.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare for court appearances, including trial.
• Manage the preparation and presentation of evidence, including interviewing witnesses.
• Analyze legal precedents to assess potential outcomes and risks for clients.
• Manage a diverse caseload of criminal cases efficiently and effectively.
• Advise clients on possible legal strategies and outcomes based on case specifics.
• Collect and organize evidence to support the client's defense or challenge prosecution claims.
• Prepare clients for depositions, and gather testimonies from witnesses and experts to bolster case positions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense law.
• Demonstrated experience handling complex criminal cases, both at the state and federal levels.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Ability to effectively manage a large and varied caseload.
• Proven track record of handling criminal cases with a high level of professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active StateBar membership.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
