A law firm seeks a Global Projects Construction Associate Attorney for its Austin, TX office.

Job Overview:

The Global Projects Construction Associate Attorney will manage various construction contracts, including EPC, EPCM, BOP, equipment supply, and operation and maintenance contracts. The ideal candidate will possess strong drafting skills, contract analysis capabilities, and experience managing a team or working closely with a partner/supervising junior associates. Additionally, the candidate should be able to analyze and synthesize new information and demonstrate an interest in the energy industry and clients’ businesses.

Duties:

  • Manage construction contracts of various types, including EPC, EPCM, BOP, equipment supply, and operation and maintenance contracts.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to construction projects.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on construction-related matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Collaborate with partners, clients, and team members on project-related tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in construction projects.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and other legal proceedings related to construction projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience working on construction contracts.
  • Experience managing a team or working closely with a partner/supervising junior associates.
  • Strong drafting skills and contract analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize new information.
  • Interest in the energy industry and clients’ businesses.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
