Job Overview:

A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Attorney to manage judicial foreclosure and litigation cases with a focus on residential real estate litigation, mortgage, and transactional matters. This role will be responsible for protecting client interests in litigation proceedings, managing cases from inception to completion, and providing strategic legal advice to clients. The attorney will handle discovery, attend court hearings, and draft necessary legal documents while ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.

Duties:

  • Manage foreclosure and litigation cases from inception to completion.
  • Prepare case analysis and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Draft court pleadings and legal documents.
  • Handle discovery, including filing and defending motions.
  • Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in person.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure optimal outcomes in legal proceedings.
  • Take on additional duties or special projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the practice of law, preferably in litigation, real estate, or mortgage law.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of California (additional bar admissions a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong ability to interpret and work with client systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet-based tools.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • Other bar memberships are a plus.
