Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense

A law firm seeks a motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join its team in Farmington Hills, MI. Duties

• Represent clients in insurance defense matters, with an emphasis on Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims.
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
• Assist in the development and execution of case strategies for insurance defense cases.
• Handle client interactions, provide legal guidance, and maintain strong relationships.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and court appearances as needed.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other legal staff to ensure high-quality service for clients.
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and changes in insurance defense law.
• Manage case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and legal standards.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense, with PIP experience preferred.
• Strong academic background with excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while meeting deadlines.
• Experience in handling complex insurance defense matters and litigation.
• Proficiency in legal research and case management tools.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
