Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly qualified Senior Private Equity Associate to join its Private Equity Group across multiple office locations. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of experience advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies on complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity investments. The role demands strong analytical, writing, and management skills with a proven ability to deliver high-quality work and build effective client relationships.

Location:

  • Miami, FL

Duties:

  • Advise private equity firms and portfolio companies on complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and leveraged buyouts
  • Handle equity investments and other corporate matters
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on deal structuring and execution
  • Lead due diligence efforts and manage the transaction process
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Provide strategic legal advice and solutions
  • Work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality legal services

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of private equity experience
  • Experience working with top AmLaw 100 firms or the SEC
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
  • Proven business judgment and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in influencing and managing client relationships

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction(s)

Skills:

  • Expertise in private equity transactions, M&A, and leveraged buyouts
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex transactions
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills
  • Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
