A law firm in New York City is seeking a Real Estate Capital Markets Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, relevant transferable skills, and excellent research, writing, and communication abilities. The role focuses on real estate litigation with an emphasis on commercial foreclosure, receiverships, lender liability claims, and familiarity with commercial finance and CMBS transactions. Bar admission in New York is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle real estate litigation matters, including commercial foreclosure and receiverships.
  • Represent clients in lender liability claims and other real estate disputes.
  • Provide legal advice on commercial finance and CMBS transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare detailed written analyses and reports.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Negotiate and resolve disputes related to real estate and capital markets.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop effective legal strategies.
  • Stay updated on developments in real estate law and capital markets.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in real estate litigation, with a focus on commercial foreclosure, receiverships, and lender liability claims.
  • Familiarity with commercial finance and CMBS transactions.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Bar admission in New York.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of real estate litigation and capital markets.
  • Proven experience in handling commercial foreclosure and receivership matters.
