Job Overview:
A reputable and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to represent clients in family law and special education matters. This position requires a technology-driven professional who can handle emotionally charged situations and complex legal challenges. While experience in special education law is not required, the ideal candidate must be committed to working with families of individuals with disabilities and possess strong family law experience.

Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in a wide range of family law and special education cases.
  • Handle cases from start to finish, including courtroom appearances, administrative hearings, and legal proceedings.
  • Draft and file legal documents, such as petitions, motions, and written legal arguments.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and provide sound legal advice.
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals, experts, and other team members to build strong cases.
  • Provide exceptional client service, managing client expectations and communicating effectively throughout the legal process.
  • Stay current on developments in family law and special education law.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in family law.
  • Courtroom experience is essential.
  • Ability to handle cases from start to finish, with experience in legal proceedings and hearings.
  • Experience working with mental health professionals and experts is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting clear, persuasive legal arguments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Willingness to learn and work with families with disabilities in special education law.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
