Attorney needed for Tampa office

Job Overview:
A growing multi-state real estate and creditors' rights law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Illinois practice. This is a remote opportunity with competitive salary and benefits. Location:

• Tampa, FL

Duties:

• Handle a significant volume of cases within the field of creditors' rights
• Participate in discovery, depositions, and conflict resolution
• Represent clients in court and at hearings, including appellate proceedings
• Manage case files, draft legal documents, and conduct legal research
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues to enhance the firm's reputation
• Assist in growing the firm’s presence and contribute to its top-tier performance
• Stay current on developments in creditors' rights, including knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code
• Provide leadership and mentoring within the team
• Travel for court appearances as required

Requirements:

• Active membership in good standing with the Illinois State Bar
• 1-5 years of litigation experience (creditors' rights experience preferred)
• Familiarity with discovery practices, depositions, and conflict resolution
• Appellate experience is a plus
• Knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code preferred
• Strong leadership, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle high caseload volume and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to contribute to the firm’s growth and success
• Court appearances and some travel will be required
• Knowledge of the Illinois legal system is required
• Strong commitment to client service, professional reputation, and sound judgment

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Illinois State Bar membership required
• Additional Bar memberships are a plus
