Labor Associate Attorney

Job Duties:

• Advocate on behalf of law enforcement and other public safety employee clients.
• Negotiate collective bargaining agreements.
• Litigate grievances and unfair practice charges (PERB/NLRB).
• Defend retirement claims against CalPERS.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Interest and/or experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements, litigating grievances and unfair practice charges (PERB/NLRB), and defending retirement claims against CalPERS preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in legal drafting and administrative tasks.
• Knowledge of LexisNexis or other legal research platforms.
