Job Overview: A prominent law firm in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced and skilled Commercial and Complex Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in defending wage and hour litigation, including class actions, and have a deep understanding of California and federal wage and hour laws.

Duties:

• Defend wage and hour litigation, including class actions, with a focus on California and federal regulations.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery with minimal supervision.
• Conduct depositions and manage motion practice, particularly concerning discovery issues.
• Develop and implement discovery plans.
• Draft and oppose motions for class certification in wage and hour matters.
• Collaborate with clients to address both legal and strategic aspects of cases, maintaining professionalism.
• Ensure effective communication and follow-through throughout all stages of litigation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in wage and hour defense litigation, preferably with class action experience.
• In-depth knowledge of California and federal wage and hour laws, including overtime and meal/rest periods.
• Proven ability to independently handle written discovery and motion practice.
• Experience with deposition procedures.
• Strong client-facing skills, demonstrating professional competence in complex litigation matters.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
