A law firm seeks a motivated and dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team in East Brunswick, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury, medical malpractice, and employment litigation, with at least one year of experience. Duties:

  • Handle a variety of litigation tasks including taking and defending depositions, legal research, and preparing responses to discovery demands.
  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and motion oppositions.
  • Represent clients in arbitration hearings and assist in trial preparation.
  • Argue motions in court and provide legal support during hearings.
  • Maintain case files and communicate regularly with clients to keep them informed of developments.
  • Manage multiple cases concurrently, ensuring adherence to deadlines and proper case management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a New Jersey law firm in personal injury, medical malpractice, or employment litigation (experience on the plaintiff's side preferred).
  • Ability to take the initiative and manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Familiarity with New Jersey Court Rules and Procedures, including E-courts.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar (Required).
