Job Overview

Duties

  • Advise clients on legal matters related to executive compensation plans, benefits, and agreements.
  • Draft and review a variety of compensation-related documents, including equity plans, employment agreements, and incentive arrangements.
  • Guide compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including ERISA, Internal Revenue Code provisions, and securities laws.
  • Work on matters involving corporate governance and disclosure requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients on the design and implementation of compensation programs tailored to business needs.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support client engagements.
  • Work closely with other practice areas, including tax, employment law, and corporate law, on multidisciplinary issues.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a peer law firm.
  • Demonstrated expertise in executive compensation, ERISA, and related legal areas.
  • Strong interest in the subject matter, with a collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • High academic achievement.

Certifications

  • Admission to, or eligibility to waive into, the DC Bar.

Skills
