Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm specializing in personal injury cases is seeking a Workers Compensation Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join their team in various locations across Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of cases, ensuring clients receive the best legal representation and support during their workers’ compensation claims. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to manage a caseload effectively.

Location:

  • Waycross, GA

Duties:

  • Open new files, establish initial contact with clients, and maintain regular communication throughout the case
  • Fully investigate each case by gathering and analyzing intake information and relevant documents
  • Enter pertinent information into the firm’s database
  • Verify insurance coverage and liability issues, maintaining communication with insurance companies
  • Manage client medical care by scheduling appointments, explaining procedures, and ensuring constant communication with clients and medical providers
  • Monitor case status and review medical records
  • Organize and maintain case files for submission to demand writers

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in Workers Compensation law
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong customer service, time management, and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships with clients, field associates, and vendors
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Consistent attendance and reliability
  • Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology (preferred)
  • Spanish-speaking ability (a plus)

Education:

  • JD from an accredited university
  • GA Bar Admission (Required)

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Georgia State Bar
