Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Miami, FL, is actively seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with extensive experience in handling general litigation matters. The firm provides a diverse range of legal services and is looking for a highly skilled professional to manage a variety of complex litigation cases from inception through trial. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in litigation and the ability to manage their caseload while mentoring junior attorneys.

Duties:

• Independently handle a wide range of general litigation matters, managing cases from initiation through trial and appeals.
• Perform comprehensive legal research and prepare various legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
• Formulate and implement effective litigation strategies.
• Represent clients during court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Oversee the discovery process, including document review and conducting depositions.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and guide junior attorneys and support staff.
• Ensure all case files and records are maintained accurately and promptly.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and ensure their needs are met.
• Participate in business development efforts to help expand the firm's client base.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Florida Bar is in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in general litigation, commercial litigation, and trial work.
• A strong history of success in managing complex litigation cases.
• In-depth knowledge of civil procedure and rules of evidence.
• Exceptional skills in legal research, writing, and analysis.
• Outstanding oral advocacy and negotiation abilities.
• Proven ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior attorneys is highly preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Florida Bar License (required).
