Job Title: Patent Agent

Job Overview: A distinguished law firm in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a highly qualified Intellectual Property Patent Agent. This individual will work closely with inventors and technical teams, supporting patent applications, prosecution, and various proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Duties:

• Handle all aspects of patent applications and prosecution.
• Conduct thorough research and lead inventor meetings.
• Develop and implement patent strategy.
• Assist in proceedings before the USPTO.
• Conduct personal interviews with USPTO examiners.
• Appear before the Board of Appeals for relevant matters.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Admission and license to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Prior experience in a technical industry (preferred).

Education:

• An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.

Certifications:

• USPTO Registration is required.
