Associate Attorney for Rochester office

A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its legal team in Rochester, NY. This full-time role involves defending clients charged with impaired driving offenses. While prior courtroom experience is preferred, the firm is open to training the right candidate. Duties

• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and negotiations related to impaired driving offenses
• Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and records within the office
• Provide clear communication to clients about their cases, options, and potential outcomes
• Stay informed on legal developments and changes in regulations related to impaired driving laws
• Work closely with colleagues to collaborate on case strategies and client service
• Manage a caseload efficiently while ensuring deadlines and legal obligations are met

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and legal research skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience in a law office setting is advantageous but not required
• Willingness to travel to various courts within Monroe County and surrounding areas

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
