A well-regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Consumer Financial Services Attorney to join its team in one of the Texas offices (Dallas, Austin, or Houston). The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Consumer Financial Services litigation, specifically in areas such as mortgage servicing, FDCPA, FCRA, and RESPA. Location:

Duties:

  • Handle consumer financial services litigation in areas including mortgage servicing, FDCPA, FCRA, and RESPA.
  • Provide regulatory guidance on consumer finance and privacy laws.
  • Assist with investigations and actions initiated by government agencies.
  • Advise clients in the consumer financial services sector on litigation and compliance issues.
  • Work alongside a top-ranked, national team to resolve complex legal issues and cases.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and success of the Consumer Financial Services practice group.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Consumer Financial Services litigation.
  • Strong academic and professional credentials.
  • Licensed and in good standing in Texas.
  • Admission to other bars will be considered a plus.

Education:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission in Texas. Admission to other jurisdictions is a plus.

Skills:

  • Experience in mortgage servicing litigation, FDCPA, FCRA, and RESPA.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle complex litigation and regulatory matters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
