Duties:

  • Manage day-to-day case tasks, including attending hearings and court appearances
  • Draft and file litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and memoranda
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and representation
  • Attend and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
  • Interact with expert witnesses, including coordinating conferences and drafting expert reports and affidavits

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the California State Bar
  • Strong proficiency in legal drafting and research
  • Solid understanding of workers' compensation law
  • Experience taking depositions, particularly doctors' depositions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • California State Bar membership

Skills:

  • Workers' compensation law expertise
  • Legal research and drafting skills
  • Deposition experience, especially with medical professionals
  • Strong communication and client-facing abilities
