Job Overview: A law firm seeks a motivated and energetic Associate Attorney specializing in foreclosure and creditors' rights to join its growing team in New York, NY. Duties:

  • Manage and oversee multiple foreclosure and creditors' rights files, including drafting complaints, and pleadings, and preparing for hearings.
  • Attend trials, hearings, and other court appearances as necessary.
  • Provide strategic input to executive management on ongoing process improvements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Draft motions and legal pleadings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet case deadlines and manage priorities effectively.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in litigation, foreclosure, or creditors' rights law.
  • Licensed to practice law in New York; additional licensure in New Jersey is preferred or willingness to become licensed in New Jersey.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and strong computer skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active New York State Bar membership (New Jersey licensure is a plus).

Skills:

  • Expertise in foreclosure and creditors' rights law.
