Job Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its team. This position is hybrid and based in Arlington, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in family law, including divorce, child custody, alimony, paternity, child emancipation, and adoption cases. The role requires excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills while managing a high volume of cases.

Duties

  • Conduct strategy sessions with clients to understand facts and goals, and develop tailored case plans
  • Communicate with clients throughout the case to explain options, strategies, and ensure informed decision-making
  • Prepare family law documents, including petitions, responses, judicial forms, affidavits, divorce decrees, parenting plans, child support orders, and trial briefs
  • Prepare clients for hearings, mediation, and trials
  • Attend hearings, trials, and meetings with clients
  • Provide top-tier customer service and support throughout the legal process
  • Manage a high volume of family law cases efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain highly organized case files and documents

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a family law attorney
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas
  • Comfortable using or willing to learn case management software
  • High ethical standards and accountability in all aspects of legal practice
  • Compassionate, professional, and client-focused attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active Texas State Bar license

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of family law, including divorce, child custody, alimony, and adoption
  • Strong legal writing and drafting skills for preparing family law documents
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle a high caseload efficiently and meet deadlines
